Happy Valentine's Day!

This is the one day in the whole entire year where our expectations get so whacked out that Mars and Venus seem even more light-years apart than the two planets actually are. For guys, today is a day when we don't know how to act or what to give as gifts. Chocolate used to be a good solution, but now everybody is weight-conscious. Bad idea. Jewelry always works, but you can't spend too little and you can't spend too much.

In the good old days before this holiday got blown out of proportion, it was fine to send flowers, give chocolates, and say I love you. I'd like to return to the really old days (elementary school) when you had to give a card to all the girls, and you let those candy hearts do the talking for you. Be mine. How can you improve on that message?

Now everything is like the graphic in the corner above. I (heart) you. Or for more feeling, put an exclamation point at the end. I (heart) you!
