Engaging Conversation

How do you begin a blog when the news to be shared is that your daughter is engaged to be married? You heard it right -- engaged! Emily and Kevin decided they were meant for each other, so they took a big step.

In the May issue of the eZine I talked about dreams, and not just any dreams, but big dreams. I'm guessing this is a big one for Emily and Kevin. So here they go! We are all very excited and happy for them! There are lots of plans to be made over the next year and a half, but I think they are off to a good start.

When that time comes I will become something I have never been before, and something I am not yet prepared for -- father of the bride!

Wow!

Les Miz feedback

Amazing! Fabulous! Incredible! After four consecutive nights of watching a most wonderful musical, I have to admit that on last Sunday evening about 7:30 p.m. I found myself looking forward to the chain gang. Godwin High School put on an awesome display of talent on April 30 through May 3.

Okay, true confession, I am a proud parent. I am also a huge fan of all the very talented kids who put their all into the show. I saw Les Miserables on Broadway in December, and it was unbelieveable. Godwin's show was nearly as good. Seriously.

I really think Sherri Matthews did a magnificent job of getting the chorus kids ready for a very complex and difficult vocal. Every one of the singers was top-notch.

Like I said, I am a proud parent. I am also proud to be in the Godwin Choral Boosters organization (http://www.godwinchoralboosters.org/) supporting such a marvelous choral program!

Bravo!
